Hi, I’m Candace Graue.
I am a UX/UI Designer, a traditional artist, and a world-traveler.
Creativity has always been a passion of mine, as well as helping to improve the lives of others. While my creative self was maintained in my personal hobbies (mainly writing and art), my drive to help others lead me to pursue teaching. I spent my young adult years traveling in Asia, teaching English. The amount of design work that goes into lesson planning might surprise you, but it is a field filled with user data, iterative testing, and creative thinking.
Upon returning to the US, I ended up in an accounting career, which helped me develop a keen eye for detail. While I appreciated the opportunities and connections I found in this career, my creative heart struggled.
Finally, I discovered a way to combine my creativity, attention to detail, and love of helping others into a meaningful career path: UX/UI design. I utilize the myriad skills I learned throughout my working life to create designs that are fortified by user data, built with a careful attention to the smallest pixel, and polished with a pleasing aesthetic.
I can’t wait to see what the future holds in this new career path, but I know I will be able to let my creative self soar while using my talents to help improve people’s live in my own small way.
I grew up in the mountains of Colorado, and am currently based near Denver. I spend my down time juggling too many hobbies and projects, while daydreaming about my next chance to travel.
